My earlier review was deliberately deleted earlier for 4 starsI am posting again for 3 stars. deducting 1 star for removing my review.These are mostly green with very few partially ones. But the seeds found on local shop were comparatively greener.I hope this review would not be deleted.
These seem great for what they are. Of course soul like year round access to fresh seeds. Only use for roasting, then snacking. Saw others stating these seem very different from fresh. I didn't see difference; however, I only roast a certain way. First step is to boil in salted water for 10 minutes. I believe this is essential. don't think the amount of salt matters too much. I've done to up to 2TBS in pan of water. I use enough water so seeds will have plenty of room to move while boiling. I believe this is the only way to get crisp, edible shells and seeds. I let mine dry on paper towels overnight. I've seen that you don't have to do that, just get most of water off before baking. I haven't tried that. I bake at 375F for around 10-15 minutes. I use convection bake for airflow, not sure how much that matters. But 375° convection is supposed to be hotter or cook faster than normal baking. I have seen recipes for low temp baking ~325, over longer time and being so careful because the seeds will burn before shells look roasted. I don't know if the boiling step helps with this too, but I find the higher temp works good for me. (so don't think the process is overly strict or restrictive) Shells browning, seeds not burned and I don't have to test a couple of seeds every minute. Also salt and drizzle with olive oil before baking. I rub olive oil on seeds with hands. Maybe that's good for better roasting too. Hope this helps anyone nervous about trying these seeds.
I love that it's shelled and haven't found any parts of a shell in the whole package. I also love that it is completed UNSALTED. I eat them alone and sometimes combine them with a trail mix. When I found out that pumpkin seeds contain a chemical that paralyzes parasites so that they detach themselves from intestinal walls, I had to buy them. I had not been doing a detox monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or even yearly. This is part of my cleansing routine. Plus, it's easy to carry in an exercise pouch at the gym, in my purse, while stuck in traffic, stuck in waiting rooms, etc.
My first time eating these seeds.. the taste is amazing.. good. It tasted a bit like almonds..very good for health and weight loss too.
I've been eating pumpkin seeds for several years now and have tried several different brands and I have to say these folks have a really good, quality product here. Very flavorful and clean tasting--they keep it simple. Love it!! Highly recommended based on this purchase!
My Dr recommended I try Pumpkin seeds to help refuce leg and foot cramps I was getting at night. AMAZING! I have been adding them to my Salads and already a quick safe bnoticeable improvement! They taste Good alone too and I plan to find more ways to incorporate these into my diet !Great product and healthy boast of vitamins !Thank you
Please dont buy this pumkin seeds not at all good quality ..some of the seeds are like rotten have bitter taste..regret buying this product
I was apprehensive about choosing this over the roasted kind, but these seeds turned out to be quite tasty. I keep them handy especially during those mid afternoon hunger pangs. A handful of these pumpkin seeds is enough to make you feel better and not look for sweet treats in the refrigerator 🙂 Also, the nutrients you get like omega 3 etc. are welcome additions to the daily dietary intake. Recommended.
